Oh Baby Movie Review & Rating
Samantha starrer Oh Baby is now in the theatres. The movie released today amidst a huge positive buzz and a lot of expectations. Directed by Nandini Reddy, four producers have come forward to bankroll the project. The film is the remake of the Korean movie Miss Granny. The film also stars Naga Shaurya, Rajendra Prasad and Rao Ramesh. Check out the review of the film here.
Story:
A 70-year-old woman Baby (Lakshmi) turns into her 24-year-old Baby (Samantha) after being photographed in a studio. She then goes back to her family who actually left them in the past. What did Baby do now? What happens after that? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Samantha is undoubtedly the show stealer for this movie. The actress has delivered her career-best performance in this movie. From the start to the end, the actress will definitely mesmerize the audience with her amazing performance. Rajendra Prasad has lifted all the scenes really well. His comedy can be considered as one of the major highlights of this film. As usual, senior actress Lakshmi has justified her role by giving her 100 per cent. Rao Ramesh's intense performance added more strength for the film. Especially in the climax scene, his performance is top-notch. Naga Shourya also delivered an energetic performance in the movie. Teja who has already impressed the audience as a child artist delivered a decent performance in this film as Samantha's grandson. Pragathi acted naturally.
Technical Aspects:
Though this is a remake movie, director Nandini Reddy has succeeded in making story easily relatable with the Telugu audience. She made some changes and succeeded in narrating the story in a beautiful way. Production values by Suresh Babu and Sunitha Tati are very rich. Music by Mickey J Meyer is outstanding. Not only a couple of songs but also his background score added more beauty for the film. His BGM elevated all these scenes really well. Dialogues by Lakshmi Bhupala are very touching. Especially in the climax, his dialogues are really good and will definitely leave an impact on the audience. Cinematography by Richard Prasad is beautiful. He has produced some sleek visuals for the film. Editing by Junaid Siddique is average.
Verdict:
Though this is a remake movie, the story is made in an interesting way. The movie will have all the elements like comedy, romance, entertainment etc. The film has a very impressive and heartwarming message for the audience but will be given in a subtle, entertaining and comic way. The first half is full of comedy whereas the second half will be even more fun but with some beautiful emotions. Especially, the climax scene itself is definitely the highlight of the film and it is handled in a beautiful way. To conclude, 'Oh Baby' is a worth watching movie which will impress all sections of the audience.
