Jagan Mohan Reddy and SCS

The Central government has reiterated that Special Status to Andhra Pradesh is a closed chapter. The Centre said it was ready to give all the benefits, which would be available as per Special Status, in the name of a Special Package. The previous state government, for the reasons well known, first accepted it, then took a U-turn and started demanding for SCS.

It was also reluctant to open a Special Purpose Vehicle to get the funds due to the state. Now at least the new CM should behave in a pragmatic way and try to resolve the issue in an amicable manner. He should avoid unnecessary friction with the Centre.
