A doctor sent by God himself
My mind is replete with fond reminisces of great doctors whom I have worked with or got inspired from. As Norman Bethune gave a clarion call: 'Doctors you go to patients.'
Dr Janaki was one such a dedicated lot and she lived a sublime life of devotion and served the suffering humankind at a Mission Hospital in West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
She remained a spinster lest marital obligations should deter her from committed service. She called herself a protestant nun by dint of service and we regarded her akin to Mother Theresa.
Her simplicity was embodiment of the maxim 'service to mankind is service to God' that inspired those who worked with her.
When I got a job in NPCC, Indravathi Muram Dam in the early 90s, she said, "If you go out of the hospital, it may have to be closed (as per prevailing situation) and I abided by, such was her spellbinding exemplary life that should be emulated by one and all.
I believe that God does wonders through selfless doctors.

Put an end to rapes and molestations
It was heartrending to read about the rape of a teen by her cousins and a teacher (for being excellent in studies). Almost every day we hear/read about rape cases.
Solution is to have a separate Ministry for physical rapes and mental rapes too (i.e. mental harassment) with a 24-hour website/chat/communication facility, to focus on rape-victims and to provide immediate solutions.
The focus should give importance to solutions for 1) betterment of the victim with all types of supports with confidentiality, 2) absolutely no disclosure of names of victims by any-one or any media and 3) no harassment by police or court enquiries 4) educate via text-books front cover, front-page/ main-news of media every day.
Also on the increase are, (whatever could be the reason), mental rapes, teasing, sledging, exploitation, victimisation, harassment, jealousy, hearsay, blamegame, negative network, false implications, domination, groupism and silly, horrible, inhuman transfers in jobs, businesses, or homes etc too may be dealt by the same separate solutions-oriented ministry with focus.
It is high time we put an end to all these inhuman things.

MLA's kin should be punished
This refers to an incident that took place in Adilabad district of Telangana where a woman Forest Range Officer was gruesomely attacked by a mob.
One fails to understand the fact that, just being a kin of a ruling party MLA, a person can attack a government official with the help of aggressive locals.
If there is a serious issue which the locals are likely to face as their lands have been already sown, then there is a need to convince the officials properly and the so-called kin needs to represent their plea (if he intends to do some good to the locals) in a reasonable and amicable manner that makes the Forest officials comprehend the gravity of the issue than resorting to such grievous acts.
It is learnt that Krishna (the local MLA's Kin) has been arrested and the government has ordered suspension of Divisional Police Officer and an Inspector, but it doesn't serve any purpose of law if such acts keep continuing in the State.
