It is high time that the A P C M Naidu put an end to the needless and unending controversies in vote counting issues relating to EVMs and VVPAT slips . Basically and relatively better is the present system and the Supreme Court has rightly labelled the litigation for 100 percent matching of VVPAT with EVM's as ' non-sense ' .
A P C M should know that just because a policing system is there in any place it does not mean that criminal activities will not be there and likewise in spite of all the best efforts of the CEC as per the instructions of Supreme court time and again there may or may not be much variations between counting of VVPAT slips and EVMs.
It is important to understand that human and technological error beyond human control cannot be totally ruled out any where in the world in any elections. Therefore, the immediate need of the hour is a fair voting and a fair counting with very minimum variation which is beyond human control in the national political scene anywhere in the world for that matter.
For the sake of this hardly small variation if any that may or may not occur , the majority accurate counting process cannot be disturbed and stalled which Mr Naidu should accept in the larger interests of Democracy. The opposition or the ruling parties should now only wait for the D-day and realise the people's pulse prevailing in the country and should prepare future strategies in running the governments elected peacefully and usefully.
