A traditional showcase

On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, Students of Chavali Bala Tripura Sundari, daughter of Guru Sri Vempati Chinna Satyam, performed various pieces from the Kuchipudi repertoire at Shilparamam on Sunday.

The performance for the evening began with an invocation to Lord Ganesha. What caught the audience attention was the recitation of kirtanas composed by Baktha Ramadasu. The classical kritis were set in traditional Kuchipudi style. One must appreciate perfect coordination all the dancers showed whenever they came together.

Vaishnavi, Bhuvana, Sahana, Venkat, Priya Hasini, Supritha, Hisitha, Yagna, Sanjana, Shreya and Anuritha were among the performers.
