Army schools hold Independence Day fete grandly
Army Public Schools of Bolarum, RK Puram and Golconda celebrated 73rd Independence Day with great enthusiasm and with unique ideas.
Hyderabad: Army Public Schools of Bolarum, RK Puram and Golconda celebrated 73rd Independence Day with great enthusiasm and with unique ideas.
At APS Bolarum, the celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag by Principal Smitha Govind. Motivational speech by the school head girl was followed by a patriotic group dance competition between the four houses of the school. Students of the primary classes enthralled the audience with their interludes of patriotic songs in between the dances.
'India – Then and Now'
The most special event of the day was an exhibition titled 'India- Then and Now' put up by the students of Classes 11 and 12, showcasing India's progress in all spheres in the past 73 years.
Eco-friendly flags at APS, RK Puram
Army Public School at Ramakrishna Puram celebrated Independence Day in a unique and noble way by planting 73 eco-friendly flags which have seeds of Basil and Marigold and these will grow into plants in few weeks. This is to show our solidarity towards the country and environment, pledging to protect country and conserve nature for the future generation.
After hoisting the national flag, the students and staff took part in cultural programmes. Speaking on the occasion Vice-Principal K Damaris appreciated the staff and students for their exemplary act. A video expressing solidarity and patriotism was also released.
A great memorable day at APS Golconda
With great éclat, Army Public School, Golconda, reverberated with the name of 'Hind Express' to pay respect and regards to freedom fighters on the Independence Day. The campus swelled with patriotic fervor as Principal Vidya Muralidharan unfurled the tri-colour. She gave an inspiring speech, reminding the students of the supreme sacrifices of the undaunted martyrs and the necessity of preserving the sovereignty of our beloved nation. The morale of the students was boosted high with her galvanizing address. 'Young Mozarts' of the school painted on the theme of patriotism and oneness.
The day also saw a rendezvous of Indian traditional folk dances like Garba, Rouf, Karakattam etc, exhibiting the richness of unity in diversity. The school witnessed students as young fearless soldiers forming 'APS Golconda Brigade' who put their foot forward towards the goal of unity and brotherhood. The memorable celebrations culminated with distribution of sweets amongst the students and staff.
