Banjara Hills: SC woman made civic chief Mantri hailed

Banjara Hills: The president of Mala Mahanadu, G Chennaiah thanked Telangana Minister Jagadish Goud for selecting SC woman Perumandla Annapurna as Municipal Chairperson of Suryapet Municipality, a general category post. On Wednesday, G Chennaiah met the minister at his residence at Minister Quarters here and thanked him for providing opportunity to a SC woman in general category post.

He presented a bouquet to the minister and felicitated him. Annapurna was elected as councilor for 9th ward of Suryapet Municipality. Praising him selecting SC councilor for the post, he said helping the SC candidate win the elections demonstrated his commitment for the development of downtrodden sections.

Congratulating Annapurna, Chennaiah hoped that she would strive for the welfare of SCs, STs, BCs and minorities in the path shown by the architect of the Indian constitution Dr BR Ambedkar. He wished that Suryapet Municipality would witness progress under her leadership.
