Gachibowli: Recently inaugurated Bio-diversity flyover has been temporarily closed for safety reasons after two youngsters were killed in a late night accident at the flyover. The flyover would be thrown open after necessary improvements and safety arrangements were made says officials.
Speaking on the issue, N Shyam Prasad Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madhapur division said, "The incident took place around 12:45 am when two youngsters were taking selfies on the flyover in the late night, a techie's car rammed into their vehicles and two died on the spot and other two who were pushing their punctured vehicles were also injured. After the accident we closed the flyover to make some improvements for safety reasons."
"We will arrange medium size florescent caps, sign boards and shall also install some extra caution boards where ever required to guide the commuters. After necessary changes were done, will open the flyover for public after two-three days," he added.
According to the police, the accused identified as P Abhilash, 28, working for Cognizant and a resident of Kukatpally was returning from a party in Langar Houz along with his friends and was in his way back to home.
