BJP celebrates invalidation of TRS corporator's election
An advocate, Chandrasekhar, had filed the petition in the court challenging her election.
Kacheguda: Local BJP leaders on Wednesday celebrated after the City Civil Court ruled that the election of Kacheguda TRS corporator Yekkala Chaitanya Kanna Yadav, who defeated Kanne Uma Ramesh Yadav of BJP was not valid on the ground that she had three children. An advocate, Chandrasekhar, had filed the petition in the court challenging her election.
The court, after considering the proof submitted, ruled that the TRS candidate's win was invalid. It directed that the BJP nominee, who stood second, be declared as winner and corporator.
Chaitanya Kanna Yadav contended that she had only two children and that 'fake documents were submitted to the court to mislead it'. Yadav told The Hans India that she would approach the Telangana High Court.
