Hyderabad : The rank and file of BJP State leadership are sitting with their fingers crossed after about a week-long high voltage campaign to witness the voter turnout on Tuesday.

For the first time in the last five years, BJP is keeping high hopes of making a dent and applying breaks to unstoppable electoral victories of the ruling TRS and its natural ally MIM.

Riding high on the victory of BJP in the Dubbaka by-poll, the State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar had made the mercury go soaring up, launching a high-voltage electioneering for the GHMC polls.

The Karimnagar MP has led from the front, leading aggressive campaigning mounting a frontal attack against the MIM. At the same time cornering the TRS, sieging every possible opportunity. The BJP cadre and leaders have found a morale booster in him as he turned out to be tough nut to crack for both the TRS and MIM. Speaking to The Hans India, a party leader pointed out, "Sanjay had not only rebutted the charges against the party. But, he had also retaliated fuming fire with word to word of the attacks of the TRS, MIM and Congress."

The forged letter fiasco relating to disbursal of flood assistance has made him turn it into an opportunity. As part of a well-oiled campaign strategy, the Union Minister of State Affairs, G Kishan Reddy led an extensive division-to-division and door-to-door campaign for the party, mostly attacking the TRS for failing to deliver its electoral promises like double bedroom houses, negligence in preventing floods, etc.

Other leaders like national OBC president K Laxman, party national vice-president DK Aruna, Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind, former MP Vivek Venkataswamy and several others have spread wings of the party campaign covering all the divisions.

The BJP roped in its central leadership into the campaign to reach out people. Given the hurdles it faced during Dubbaka by-poll, the visits of BJP central leader and ministers put State administration on tenterhooks to ensure no law and order issue comes up. So that, nothing comes in the way of its entire campaign trail for the GHMC elections.
