Hyderabad Bongo Mela 2019, an authentic Bengali festival, organised by Sur-O-Dhwani in association with Shilparamam, on 6 and 7 July at Shilparamam HITECH City, Hyderabad. 'Sur-O-Dhwani', an organisation dedicated to promoting visual and performing arts and festivities from Bengal presented Bongo Mela 2019, an authentic Bengali festival featuring music, dance, arts and crafts, food and lot more.

The public got the opportunity to enjoy the mesmerising performance by a fabulous line up including Hindol dance group, popular local Bengali music bands like Song-Slesh and Folk Studio. Several other exhibits and stalls were filled with delicious Bengali cuisines, crafts from different parts of India and artworks, Bengali cotton sarees/handloom sarees, Santiniketani products and jewelleries were on sale.

The event attracted over 15,000 people over two days from the local Bengali and non-Bengali community. An abundance of traditional Bengali snacks and sweets were offered, including the mouth-watering Kolkata kathi rolls, chop, mishti doi and famous sweet ball roshogolla.

Handmade jewellery, traditional Bengali handloom saris, bedsheets, different products from Shantiniketan were on sale at the stalls. Visitors enjoyed performances of Hindol dance group and local Bengali music bands. Several other exhibits and stalls were filled with delicious Bengali cuisines, crafts from different parts of India.
