Bonthu Rammohan, Devireddy Sudheer Reddy conduct padayatra

LB Nagar: Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and local legislator Devireddy Sudheer Reddy, along with corporator Mudraboina Srinivas Rao and GHMC officials, took out padayatra in Dharmapuri, Green Park and Sai Nagar Colonies on Wednesday.

They found out that open drains in Lingojiguda were closed and being used for vehicle parking. This was resulting in clogging of nala, as it became difficult for GHMC staff to remove silt from it.

The Mayor directed staff to break the slabs on nalas and to arrange jetting machines for de-silting work. He directed officials concerned to take steps to make it a bigger nala. He assured residents that drainage issue would be solved as soon as possible.

Corporators Ramana Reddy, Sama Swapna Reddy, Ramavath Padma Naik, ENC (Projects) Sridhar, Zonal Commissioner Shankaraiah, Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, DC, SE, EE, AMOH and sanitation staff Tilak Rao, Raju, Darpally Rajashekar Reddy, Jaganadh Reddy, Jupally Praveen, Narre Srinivas, Madhu Sagar, Praveen Reddy, Sathyanarayana, Indraji, Amresh, Sai and others were present.

They also visited some divisions in LB Nagar on Wednesday. He held door-to-door visits in Dharmapuri, Green Park Colony and Sai Nagar colony and enquired about the issues. As the Green Park Colony drainage outlet is creating problems for the residents, the Mayor ordered the officials concerned to clear the problem at the earliest.

He also told them to increase the width of nala. Municipal workers took up the work and said that it would be finished within two to three days. Later, he inspected the special drive for collection of scrap from residences.
