Hyderabad: Indian Union of Muslim League (IUML) national president Prof K M Khader Moideen has called for a struggle against the anti-people policies of the governments, across the country.

While speaking at the inauguration of the STU (Swatantrata Trade Union) national executive body meeting in the city, he said the Modi government was trying to cover up communalism, when the country's economy was slowing down. "Diversity is the power of India.

The central government is trying to eliminate diversity and divide the citizens. The Assam Citizenship Bill and the Kashmir and Muthalak issue are just a few examples," he noted. Advocating protection of the rights of workers, he said STU has become a campaigner of secularism and national unity.

Jafarullah Molla (Bengal) presided over the function. National general secretary M Rahmatullah presented the work report and future task. Adding to STU national office-bearers, Ahmed Kutty Unnikulam, KP Muhammed Ashraf (Kerala) and A Syed Ali (TN), Mohsisha (Telangana) were included in the national secretariat.

The first meeting of the secretariat would be held in Chennai on October 21 to finalise the national movement programme and the national conference. Muslim League leaders, State president Imtiaz Ahmed, State general secretary Abul Gani, Basheer Ahmed, Haseeb Ponnani, Basheer Ahammed and STU national leaders were present.
