Corporator launches desiltation of nala

Tarnaka: Local corporator Saraswathi on Monday launched desilting works at the open nala in the division following complaints by the residents of foul smell. People appealed to her to ensure that a permanent solution be found for the problem.

Saraswathi informed the residents that the previous government had encouraged occupation of nalas, which was now giving rise to various problems. She suggested to GHMC staff to remove encroachments in the open nala without causing any hardship to people.

Among those present at the launch of the desilting work included Greater Hyderabad TRS youth wing president Alakunta Hari, TV Srinivas, Rahimathbhai, Malla Reddy.
