Corporator Shanti visits Yellamma temple

Nacharam: The two-day 'Bonalu' Festival concluded here on Monday. Temples of presiding deities, like Yellammas, were tastefully decorated. Devotees from the morning itself made a beeline to various shrines. Among the visitors to local Yellamma temple was corporator Shanti, and her husband Shekar.

Shanti also went round the various temples in the division and made enquiries on the arrangements made for the benefit of devotees. Organisers of temples told her that they had taken care to ensure that there were no hardships to visitors.

She told the media that they had worshipped the deity wishing for the welfare of the people in the division and seeking bountiful rains.
