In the view of Cyclone Nivar, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued rain alert for Hyderabad for two days i.e, on November 26 and 27.

In the view of Cyclone Nivar, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued rain alert for Hyderabad for two days i.e, on November 26 and 27. cyclone Nivar will make landfall on Tamil Nadu coast triggering rainfall in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The IMD issued predicted rainfall in several districts of Telangana including Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Rangareddy on November 26 and thunderstorms accompanied with lightning likely on November 27.

"Due to the cyclone Nivar, the southern and southwestern districts are most likely to get affected by the cyclone Nivar. However, its effect to Hyderabad and other districts will be predicted on Thursday depending on the movement of the cyclone," said Naga Ratna, in-charge director of IMD.

It is also said that the mercury levels are expected to be dropped by one to three-degree celsius due to the cyclone Nivar by November 29. With the rain alert, the municipal corporations have been advised to be on alert and issue advisory.
