Day temperatures of 43, 40 and 40 degrees Celsius were recorded in Medak, Hakimpet and Dundigal areas respectively on Friday, even as isolated rain occurred across Telangana, according to a bulletin issued by the Met department.

Hyderabad: Day temperatures of 43, 40 and 40 degrees Celsius were recorded in Medak, Hakimpet and Dundigal areas respectively on Friday, even as isolated rain occurred across Telangana, according to a bulletin issued by the Met department. The showers covered about 25 per cent of areas in the State. The maximum temperatures showed a rising trend.

The bulletin said heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Khammam district. The highest day temperature of 44.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nizamabad. The other day temperatures registered in the State were: Nalgonda & Ramagundam (44), Adilabad, Hanamkonda & Mahbubnagar (43 each), Hyderabad (41) andBhadrachalam (39).
