Demolition of illegal structures continues

As part of action on ongoing unauthorised constructions, GHMC has taken up demolition of unauthorised constructions, wherein unauthorized extra floors and constructions made in the stilt floor parking area are being demolished in addition to removal of encroachments on footpath/road margins.

Further, as part of monsoon preparedness plan, a special drive for action on dilapidated structures is taken up by GHMC and the same is proposed to be continued further. On Thursday, the GHMC officials demolished 25 structures, of which five are dilapidated buildings and the remaining are unauthorised constructions.
