What if a human being turns into animal? If so what is the destruction going to be for the society. What are the problems we will be facing? What will the creation become? "This is my imagination," says Sharath Sunkari, director of the play '3000 AD' which was recently staged at Ravindra Bharathi. "Human being is a sophisticated animal which may become a wild animal. I created a character 'human being' where it has to protect himself when he became destructor for society," says Sharath Sunkari.

"There are scientific evidences that make me worry that my imaginations would become true. There is a chance to reverse to life. There is a chance that man wouldn't die. I am not well versed with science. But, the drama gave me some insights into it. The drama gives message for audience to live peacefully," shares Sharath.

Giving out more details of the play the director answers a few questions…

Why did you name it '3000AD'?

There is no evidence that environment remains same after years have passed. The creation has become polluted. If there is rain here, there is no rain 100mts away. Some decades ago, the creation was pleasant, every species used to do its work and earn food. The moment man started to think (use his brain), has become a starting point for destruction. Five artists and technicians, and about two years of training has been given to these artists to recreate the situation.

Why did you want the actors to be on their skates?

In the history of drama, no one used skating I wanted to do something different. Many discouraged me, but I didn't give up.

Since how many years are you into theatre?

It's been six years since I am into theatre. Earlier, I was a choreographer. My dream is that this drama should be released nationwide as a movie.
