Nampally: Representatives of BMS union met Director of Registrar of Cooperative Societies, here at his office and submitted a memorandum appealing him to conduct elections for GHMC employees' cooperative credit society. BMS released a press note in this regard on Monday.

The press note alleged that severe irregularities have been reported in operation of the credit society as elections were not conducted regularly. The society, with an annual turnover of Rs 7 crore and 1,600 members, is run by a 11-member board.

While there are 11 members, seven members have been taking independent decisions without consulting other members, BMS alleged. Some retired employees have been resorting to irregularities in the board.

The press note alleged that irregularities were conducted under supervision of DRO employee Uday Bhaskar. BMS demanded DRO to take necessary action against the employee and conduct elections to the cooperative society. Among those who met Director Registrar include A Shankar, K Raju, K Prakash, P Shankar, Balraj, SK Jahangir, K Amareshwar, Ram Singh and Yadagiri.
