Nampally: The first batch of 342 Haj pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh departed for Haj from Hyderabad embarkation point on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, AP Deputy CM S B Amjad Basha thanked god first and AP state CM Jaganmohan Reddy next for picking him up to serve the community in a better way. He was all praise for TS Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan for the arrangements extended at Haj House in Nampally and at the Haj terminal in RGIA.

Masiullah Khan briefed the Haj pilgrims about the onward journey and SIM card activation in Saudi Arabia. Advisor (Minority Welfare) to TS Government A K Khan explained the arrangements of Haj pilgrims at Haj House being the best in 20 years. Kurnool MLA Abdul Hafeez Khan said there were lots of people in the world with money, but god selects only few to perform the Haj.

TS Haj Committee Executive Officer B Shafiullah, Assistant Executive Officer Irfan Shareef, MLA Md Mustafa, Shaik Md Iqbal, AP Additional Secretary P Usha Rani, TS Waqf Board Chairman Md Saleem, AP State Haj Committee Executive officer S M D Tajuddin, Additional DCP, South Zone (Traffic) K Babu Rao, TS Haj committee members Md Abu Talha, Md Arifuddin, M A Shafi and others were also present on this occasion.
