The last date for filing nominations for the upcoming GHMC elections will end today at 3 pm.
The last date for filing nominations for the upcoming GHMC elections will end today at 3 pm. The State Election Commission (SEC) has provided three days for filing the nominations which began on November 18.
So far, 537 candidates have filed the nominations and the number would rise further by today evening as some of the parties announced their candidates on Thursday.
The ruling TRS party has announced the list of candidates for 125 divisions in Greater Hyderabad and would release another list today for 25 more divisions. Meanwhile, the AIMIM party has decided to contest from 44 sitting positions and would announce the list today.
The GHMC elections are scheduled for December 1 and the results would be declared on December 4.
