Serilingampally: GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Zonal Commissioner Harichandana and officials on Tuesday launched new garbage-shifting machines (Bob Cat) in the municipal office here.
Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, who was present, said four Bob Cat machines were being made available in GHMC Serilingampally and Chandanagar circles (two each).
He said the machines would clear piles of road-side garbage within short time and less manpower. He advised GHMC officials to properly utilise the machines in cleaning colonies and roads.
Among those present were GHMC (projects) SE Venkataramana, SE Ravindranath, EEs Venkateshwarlu, China Reddy, DEs Anand, Ramesh, AE Anurag and iAMOH Bindu.
