GHMC Polls 2020: They face embarrassing questions from people on double bedroom houses, flood relief and lack of basic amenities in various localities

Hyderabad: The TRS leaders campaigning in the Hyderabad city faced the heat from the voters on different issues like double bedroom houses, flood relief.

The leaders like Minister Gangula Kamalakar, MLAs Padma Devender Reddy, Danam Nagender faced the ire of the residents in different divisions while they were campaigning. Padma Devender Reddy was questioned while she was campaigning in colonies in Macha Bolarum. The locals recalled the promise by the MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, who took oath in a temple to provide them with double bedroom houses but they did nothing.

The locals alleged that they were denied the benefits of the scheme whereas the nearby areas were getting all the benefits. Padma Devender Reddy tried to pacify them but failed.

While Minister Kamalakar and MLA Nagender were campaigning in Chandanagar in Khairatabad constituency, the locals questioned them about flood relief. The people said that they were denied flood relief aid even though they had to suffer because of flood water entering into their houses. The minister and the MLA tried to pacify them but they were criticising the government. Nagender told the locals to give the details along with door numbers and left the area.

The TRS leaders who were campaigning in Himayatnagar were stopped by the locals, protesting over not providing flood relief aid. The BJP workers who were passing through the area also joined the locals and raised slogans of 'TRS down down.' Leaders of both the parties lodged complaints against each other with the Narayanguda police.

There were similar scenes at Upparpally, Yadavareddy Nagar bastis in Rajendranagar constituency. The locals vent their ire on the TRS leaders stating that they had come here today. They said they will not vote for TRS in the coming elections. With the information reaching the MLA camp office, the party MP G Ranjeeth Reddy assured that the relief aid would be provided after December 4.
