GHMC to pursue speedy disposal of cases in High Court

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh kumar held a review meeting on cases relating to the town planning department which are pending in High Court. Chief City Planner Devendar Reddy, Town Planning Director Srinivas Rao and several town planning officials were present.

The Commissioner ordered that counter affidavits be filed on pending cases on GHMC in High Court. "Many of the complaints received belongs to town planning department, they should be cleared and inform the action taken in written format to the complainers.

Counter affidavits should be filed on contempt cases on town planning department. To take action on the cases which are to be present personally and file counters on all cases within 15 days. Action will be initiated on the officials those who do not file counters as and when received," he added. Further, the Commissioner instructed the officials to abide by and implement the court orders strictly.

On the approved building permissions, the officials should inspect the site during construction of building every 20 days and ensure that no deviations take place. They were also asked to supervise the buildings with G+2 permissions and issue rejoinders on the complaints appearing in newspaper on the action taken on the reported issues.
