Says it took Rs 9,000 cr loans in 3 months

Hyderabad: Senior BJP leader and Lok Sabha candidate for Medak M Raghunandan Rao has claimed that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has amassed loans worth Rs 9,000 crores within his 90-day tenure, exacerbating the state’s financial woes.

He asserted that the state government’s ability to pay salaries to its employees is only made possible through the assistance of the central government.

Addressing a gathering of booth-level presidents in Nizampet Mandal of Medak district, Raghunandan Rao criticised the Revanth Reddy administration for failing to fulfill numerous promises even after 100 days, despite boasting of fulfilling all six guarantees within the same timeframe. He accused the Chief Minister of plunging the state into deeper debt, citing the acquisition of a Rs 9,000 crore loan within three months. He dismissed as absurd the Chief Minister’s pledge to secure additional funds from Delhi if the Congress wins 17 seats in the state, questioning the feasibility of such a promise.

Furthermore, the BJP leader declared the decline of the BRS party in Telangana, noting the party’s struggles in finding suitable candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He criticized the delay in candidate selection and expressed dissatisfaction with the nomination of former IAS officer Venkat Ram Reddy for the Medak parliamentary constituency, emphasizing Ram Reddy’s lack of connection to the region.
