Heaps of garbage trouble residents

West Marredpally: Heaps of garbage on the road is a common site at West Marredpally near Medha residency. Several locals have complained that from past few days the garbage liberates foul smell and it is uncomfortable to the passer-by.

Srinivas, a local, said that it had also become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, and stray dogs. The GHMC workmen earlier used to clean the garbage at least weekly once but now they don't even bother to clean this area.

He also said that, "We have informed the authorities concerned about the unattended garbage through social media by sending various pictures related to this issue and also verbal and written complaints have been submitted to the authorities but no action has taken yet."
