The seventh edition of the five-day All India Horticulture Agriculture and Nursery Expo at Peoples Plaza Necklace Road inaugurated on Independence Day is drawing lovers of home garden in droves and as it is a famous one-stop destination for all gardening needs.

Hyderabad: The seventh edition of the five-day All India Horticulture Agriculture and Nursery Expo at Peoples Plaza Necklace Road inaugurated on Independence Day is drawing lovers of home garden in droves and as it is a famous one-stop destination for all gardening needs.

With more than 100 stalls displaying more than 2,000 varieties from plants, flowers fruits, cacti, esculents, orchids, medicinal, air-purifying plants, seeds, bulbs and seedlings, there is something for everyone here.

The expo is witnessing around 12,000 to 15,000 gardening enthusiasts in the five days and around 5,000 visitors every day Nurseries across India from Mumbai, Kadiam, Kolkata, Pune, Bengaluru, and Vijayawada, along with twin city nurseries like Pragati Bio Pharma which displayed 800 types of herbal plants and around 70 herbal products at the expo. Exotic plants from the Himalayan slopes are also available from nurseries participating from Darjeeling and Siliguri.

Khalid Ahmed, organiser of the event, said, "This is the seventh show and each year the numbers of visitors and the stalls increase. The response from visitors and gardening enthusiasts has been very overwhelming for us. The Telangana government has also been very supportive. We will soon organise another expo sometime in January. The expo will go on till August 19."
