Hyderabad: Adibatla municipal chairperson resigns to TRS, joins Congress

In a major blow to the ruling party, municipal chairperson of Adibatla of Ibrahimpatnam constituency resigned to TRS party. Kotha Ardika Praveen Goud is said to have been upset with the party's attitude towards her.

After resigning to the post, Praveen Goud joined Congress party in the presence of senior Congress leader and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. It is known that Ardika Praveen Goud who earlier served in Congress party shifted his loyalties to TRS party during municipal elections on the request of Ibrahimpatnam MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and was later offered the post of municipal chairperson. However, Ardika Praveen Goud is seemed to be dissatisfied with the party's attitude towards the workers.

Explaining the reason for her step, she said that there is no respect for the municipal chairperson post from the party leaders and the officials. She said that she could not tolerate the incivility of the party and rejoined Congress.

TRS party suffered major blows with the party losing the Dubbak assembly seat and also lost several seats in GHMC election.
