Hyderabad : Former MP and BJP leader Vivek Venkataswamy issued legal notice for defamation to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar.

Addressing media here on Monday, he said that the notices were issued for illegally and allegedly filing a false criminal case against him without due process of law. He said that the defamation legal notice is issued by seeking an unconditional apology and a compensation of Rs 100 crore from both.

He said that legal notice to Chief Minister KCR was issued for influencing and instigating Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad for filing a false case against me. Also, to the commissioner for being responsible for defaming him through his false and derogatory statements at a press conference at the PCs office, at 4 pm on November 1, he added.

Meanwhile, the State BJP lodged a complaint with the State Election Commission alleging that the TRS party activists have attacked the party's Chaitanyapuri office, and, "Circle Inspector Ravi Kumar supporting TRS openly," and demanded action against him.
