Revanth and KTR to stage protest in Shadnagar

Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress will be actively taking part in the Bharat Bandh called by Kisan Unions across the country on Tuesday in protest against Farm Laws brought in by the BJP-led NDA government.

CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarkha, working president and MP Revanth Reddy, senior leaders Jagga Reddy among others would be joining the party functionaries and farmers in protests planned on various national highways in the State.

Bhatti would be taking part in a protest at Shamirpet, Medchal district from 9 am. Revanth Reddy has chosen Shadnagar Market Committee to register his protest at 10 am. Interestingly, TRS working president K T Rama Rao has also chosen Shadnagar venue, but the place of protest is different. He will be participating in Bharat Bandh at Burugrula Gate, Farooq Nagar Mandal, near Shadnagar on Bengaluru highway.

Senior leader Jagga Reddy has declared that they will lay siege to Sangareddy highway for two hours on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, former minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah made a scathing attack on TRS by terming its support for Bharat Bandh as a new drama as the pink party has been supporting the central government on various issues.

Tweeting his view, AICC spokesperson Dasoju Sravan posed question whether police would restrict TRS Ministers, MLAs, MPs and other leaders through House Arrests which was a usual practice whenever opposition conducted protests.
