Taking a dig at the BJP for coming up with a slogan of ‘Change Hyderabad,’ Telangana State Planning Board Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar asks what change the Saffron party leaders are going to bring in Hyderabad. “Do they want to change the peaceful atmosphere in Hyderabad into state of anarchy? From serene atmosphere to communal riots? Will they close the industries?” he questions

Hyderabad: Telangana State Planning Board Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar on Monday said while the TRS party was focussed on developing Hyderabad into a global city and going to people showcasing what it had done for them in the last six years, the BJP was trying to flare up religious sentiments. The BJP wants to polarise the voters which could harm the society.

In an exclusive interview to The Hans India, the Planning Board Vice-Chairman said the BJP leaders were trying to provoke the youth in the city and polarise the voters under the garb of patriotism. Being a progressive party, TRS does not want the people of the city to fall prey to such communal forces.

Vinod Kumar said TRS does not believe in communal politics. It was BJP which had raised the issue. Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay stated that the saffron party was 80 per cent Hindu party. This had forced the TRS to counter his comments effectively.

A look back at last six years the city had ensured that it had best of law and order situation. It had seen investments pouring in and all-round development. When does development take place? It happens only when law and order is under control and when you have a proactive government. TRS has proved that Hyderabad is a happening city and attracted several companies.

Vinod Kumar pointed out that the industries were functioning in three shifts with 24-hour power. Not a single small scale industry was closed down. "We have to see that Hyderabad does not fall prey to these communal forces."

On the allegations of understanding with the MIM, Vinod Kumar said that there was no alliance or understanding with MIM. On the contrary there are allegations that the BJP is having an understanding with MIM. Some critics also said that because MIM contested in Bihar, BJP managed to come to power in the state," he said.

Taking a dig at the BJP for coming up with a slogan of 'Change Hyderabad,' Vinod Kumar asked what the change the Saffron party leaders were going to bring in Hyderabad. "Do they want to change the peaceful atmosphere in Hyderabad into state of anarchy? From serene atmosphere to into communal riots? Will they close the industries?" he questioned.

Commenting on the Congress party, Vinod said it had become a defunct party. The leaders were deserting the party one after the other. It has no leadership either in state or at national level. Even Rahul Gandhi was not inspiring the party.

However, the TRS leader said that even today Congress was the main opposition to TRS. He said that there will be no impact of the Dubbaka by-poll on GHMC election and the party would win more than 100 divisions.
