Kondapur: Residents of Raghavendra Colony near Galaxy Apartments here are facing hardships due to piling up of heaps of garbage in the colony for the past several weeks.
The locals allege that the issue remains the same for several years as GHMC staff do not show up for weeks to pick up garbage, which is leading to piles of garbage at the colony junctions.
A local resident shares, "It's my request to the authorities of GHMC concerned to take note of this location and act quickly and get this resolved as we locals are the ones who are facing the torture. It has become very difficult to walk on the road as the garbage is spread all over the road.
This has become a serious health issue for all of the colony residents. This has been the same situation for years without proper roads. The situation gets worse during rainy days."
