ISKCON Kukatpally branch is celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami at its temple here on Saturday. Lord Krishna was born on this auspicious night at Mathura. The festivities will commence at 5 am with Mangal Aarati.

Addressing the media persons here on Thursday, Mahashringadasa, President of ISKCON-Kukatpally, said Sri Radha Govind Devji and Sri Jagannath Baldeva and Subhadra Mata will give darshan in special alankars. They would be beautifully decked up for this purpose, he added.

He said that on this festive occasion, devotees could take the darshan of the deities as the temple would remain open for the entire day. Prasadam will be served at four counters to facilitate devotees.

A very enlightening expo on the life and teachings of His Divine Grace Srila A C Bhakti Vedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada would be specially arranged on this occasion. His travel to USA and amazing preaching works will also be depicted.

On Sunday, the Vyas Pooja would be conducted from 5 to 8.30 PM The festival will conclude after distributing Maha Prasadam to all the devotees who come to participate.

To increase divine Krishna consciousness, a very colourful Sri Krishna Fancy dress competition will be arranged from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm and attractive prizes would be given away to the first 150 participants. Boys and girls from 5 to 12 years can take part in it.

Archana will be performed from 9 am till 8 pm and darshan is open for all. For the entire day, melodious kirtans, nectarine Prasadam, magnificent dance, purifying darshans and eye opening expo will be available for the guests and ISKCON life members at our Kukatpally Centre, he added.
