Lal Darwaza: Congress celebrates birth anniversary of Shivaji

Lal Darwaza: On the occasion of 390th birth anniversary of Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj, Congress leaders of Old City organised 'Annadanam' programme at Lal Darwaza. Congress senior leader, K Venkatesh who was the chief guest paid rich tributes to the Maratha hero. Later he oversaw the 'Annadanam' programme where around 500 people were fed.

Speaking on the occasion, he recalled his valour as a great maratha warrior who challenged the might of the Mughal empire and expanded Maratha empire. Meanwhile, Telangana State Youth Congress Spokesperson S P Kranthi Kumar also paid rich floral tributes at Shivaji Statue near Imlibun Bus Stand road on Wednesday.
