Lingampally railway station jam-packed

Lingampally: The Lingampally railway station was over crowded on Tuesday with Telugu people of the two States heading home for the Sankranti festival. The various trains leaving the Lingampally station were found packed to capacity. Even the MMTS locals were crowded, with those travelling to far off destinations.

The South Central Railway officials estimate that over 25,000 to 30,000 additional passengers have travelled for some days in view of the festival rush. For some days this week the Palnadu Express has been found packed at this station itself. So has been the case with Narayanadri, Gowthami Expresses, Kakinada, Lokmanya Tilak and Janmabhoomi Expresses and trains bound for Visakhapatnam, Machilipatnam.
