MANUU faculty association elects new body
The Elections for Maulana Azad National Urdu University Teachers Association (MANUUTA) were held on October 25thand all the office bearers were elected unopposed.
Hyderabad: The Elections for Maulana Azad National Urdu University Teachers Association (MANUUTA) were held on October 25thand all the office bearers were elected unopposed. According to Professor Badiuddin Ahmed, the chairman MANUUTA election committee, Professor P H Mohammad was elected as the new President.
A swearing-in ceremony was held on Monday at the Saiyid Hamid Library Auditorium. Professor Badiuddin Ahmed administered the oath of all office bearers and certificates were distributed.
The programme was started with recitation of The Holy Quran by Dr Syed Aman Ubed and Mohd Omar proposed vote of thanks. Dr Faheemuddin Ahmed and Saidalavi K served as members of the Eelecction committee and Dr H Aleem Basha and Mohd. Omar were the Co-opted members.
Professor Md Shahid Raza was elected as the vice-president, Dr Bonthu Kotaiah as general secretary, Dr Ira Khan as joint secretary (organising), Abu Osama is the new joint secretary (publicity) and Dr Ahmed Raza the treasurer.
