Barkas: Much to the surprise of everyone in the old city, the fire brand BJP leader Raja Singh has come to rescue a Muslim family of Barkas, who were since a long seeking justice in her daughter's suspicious death case.

This all happens when a few members of the bereaved family from Salala, Barkas, under the leadership of social activist and advocate Abdallah Bin Ali Bahmaid, called on Raja Singh two days ago and apprised him of the injustice meted out to late Fatima Sadi in the hands of her in-laws.

Fatima Sadi allegedly died in suspicious condition in her in-law's house 6 months ago. Though she died several months ago her dowry items were said to be remained in her in-law's possession. Parents, who lost their beloved daughter, have been running from pillar to post since then to get the stuff back from her in-law's house, said Advocate Abdallah Bin Ali Bahmaid.

Narrating the sorrowful tale of Fatima Sadi's untimely death and the struggle faced by the family thereafter, the father, Mukthar Sadi, said, "My daughter was brutally murdered by her in-laws on March 5, but the dowry items have not been recovered since then from her in-law's possession. Though I lost my beloved daughter six months ago, the only thing that she left behind are the dowry articles that I had given her at the time of her marriage."

"We have run pillar to post to get the dowry items back from her in-law's house after the demise of my daughter, but failed terribly. Finally, I and my family members approached Raja Singh a few days ago to see if he can intervene in the matter," he said.

"Later on, Raja Singh prevailed upon the police concerned to see that the issue was sorted out soon and the justice be done to our family. I am grateful of Raja Singh, Chandrayangutta Inspector and advocate Abdallah Bahmaid for helping us get the dowry items back," he added.

"It is welcoming development that a leader perceived as hostile to Muslim community has come forward and displayed a gesture of communal harmony by solving the issue of a Muslim family, seeking justice in their daughter's case," said Mujahed Mohiuddin Khudri, founder & president of GKR Foundation.
