Hyderabad: If you are wonder if there is a device that is small and could be worn and yet not be seen, while being effective in warding off pollutants, there is, indeed, one such novel device for you.

Bhoomiah Chary, 52, a goldsmith has developed a simple nose filter which can be inserted in the nostrils to stop pollution entering the body. It does not come in the way of breathing or performing any task. It is safe, secure and healthy, too.

The filters are made of safer substance and have been certified by a professional doctor. The device is made with high hygiene standards. The nose filter is a 'Use and Throw' type of device and should be replaced by a new one. The medical fraternity too has approved the product.

Chary said that he initially used copper and later cloth to make the nose filter. The product is available at Palle Sujana office in Sainikpuri and few stores in Secunderabad.

Trials of the nose filter revealed that this device provides substantial relief from dust especially for the people who are suffering from respiratory ailments. The filter does not let the dust and the other particles enter the nostrils as it consists of very small holes, which will help the person wearing the nose filter have a safe and hygienic breathing.

Wearing of such filter by healthy people would prevent diseases and provides sustained health. The nose filters can be used by road side vendors, municipality workers, carpenters, and traffic police

B Chary said, "One day when he was returning home, he saw three kids crossing the road and asked them why they did not cover their faces as there was a lot of smoke due to traffic. The children said that their mother asked them not to cover their faces with the kerchiefs as criminals did so. I thought about inventing something that children and parents could use and not get scared."

Priced at Rs 25 for 5 nose filters. Each nose filter could be used for 6-8 hours depending on the degree of the pollution and contamination of the environment in which the wearer is operating.

"It took three years to prepare the device. I first tried this device on my family and they have been using this for the past five years. My goal is to make one lakh nose filters," said B Chary.
