Malkajgiri: Children play park has been occupied by buffalos and pigs feeders (prashanth and bhavani) at IN Nagar. The park has occupied for 4 years. Hundreds of pigs are reared in the occupied government. Buffalos stay on the roadside area of that park. A complete lack of hygiene is observed with dung seen about everywhere. Because of these conditions, mosquito and insect breeding rampant in the area.
The encroachers have dug up pits, causing damage to the road. Many vehicles are seen to skid on the slipper road. A kid met who with accident is in a serious condition because of these bad roads.
If questioned, the pig rears threaten people saying they had managed officials and would not care for anybody. An Income Tax department official Mohan Kumar complained to GHMC about encroachment of park land, but there is no response from them yet. GHMC staff are also not spraying insecticides and carrying fogging in the areas, complain the locals. They criticise corporator Sirisha Jithender Reddy for not coming to their rescue.
