A government employee, Ram Reddy, on Wednesday approached the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), demanding action against a Secunderabad Cantonment Board official who had demanded bribe for giving him house-building permission in Picket.
Nampally: A government employee, Ram Reddy, on Wednesday approached the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), demanding action against a Secunderabad Cantonment Board official who had demanded bribe for giving him house-building permission in Picket. He also sought protection from the SCB official, while naming her as Saritha, a surveyor.
Reddy's complaint stated that when questioned about payment of bribe, Saritha had beaten him with slipper. A linesman in Transco office at Lal Bazaar, he expressed anguish over his plight. He claimed that the Marredpally police had neglected his complaint against the SCB surveyor, but registered a case based on her complaint. Reddy demanded steps by SHRC against Saritha for the assault and render justice to him.
