No water in parts of Hyderabad for 24 hours

Water supply will be disrupted in parts of Hyderabad for about 24 hours i.e, from 5 am on December 16 to 5 pm on December 17 in the view of the pipeline repair works.

Areas like Mir Alam, Kishanbagh, Balshettyketh, Aljubail Colony, Aliabad, Hashamabad, Riyasatnagar, Santoshnagar, Vinaynagar, Saidabad, Asmangadh, Dilshukahnagar partly, Chanchalguda, Yakutpura, Mehabubmansion, Boggulakunta, Afzalgunj, Hindinagar, Narayanguda, Adikmet, Shivam, and Chilkalguda reservoir areas will have no water supply.

In the wake of the disruption in water supply, officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMSSB) asked consumers to use the water conservatively to avoid inconvenience. They said that the repair works will be carried out on 600 mm diameter butterfly valves and non-return valves in the Phase-I pumphouses at Kondandapur, Nasarlapally and Godakandla
