As part of its outreach programme on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week, NTPC has launched ‘Integrity Clubs’ in schools and colleges in Hyderabad to instill values like honesty, integrity, patriotism, responsibility, respect, unity, tolerance etc.

Secunderabad: As part of its outreach programme on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week, NTPC has launched 'Integrity Clubs' in schools and colleges in Hyderabad to instill values like honesty, integrity, patriotism, responsibility, respect, unity, tolerance etc.

Dilip Kumar Dubey, Regional Executive Director (South), presented books written eminent persons to the members of the Integrity Clubs at a function organised in connection with the Vigilance Awareness Week being observed by NTPC at its southern region headquarters in the city.

The Integrity Clubs which have 10 to 15 students as members will be incubated and nurtured to acquire these values and behaviours in their school environments. They in turn will be role models for their peer groups through the integrity clubs. When students learn integrity in classroom settings, it helps them apply similar principles to other aspects of their lives.

Financial assistance to Gandhi Hospital

In order to mitigate the problems of a large number of out-patients and relatives/attendants of in-patients, NTPC will provide financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh towards construction of a waiting shed on the premises of Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad as part of its CSR initiative. NTPC has signed an MoU with Gandhi Hospital to provide funds for construction of a waiting shed at Gandhi Hospital.

The MoU was entered into by D K Dube, Regional Executive Director (South), and Dr P Shravan Kumar, Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Hospital, at NTPC office in Secunderabad. Dr Sharvan Kumar informed that the waiting shed which would accommodate around 400 people would also be provided with an RO plant for providing drinking water to the people.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water treatment process that removes contaminants from water by using pressure to force water molecules through a semipermeable membrane. R Hari Kumar, GM (HR), NTPC, B Seshadri, RMO, Gandhi Medical Hospital, and senior officials from NTPC and Gandhi Hospital participated in the programme.
