Open plot turns dump yard at Kanchan bagh

Kanchan bagh: An open plot in Rakshapuram colony in Kanchan bagh has been turned into a dump yard, which is emitting not only stench but also leading to breeding of mosquitoes in a big way.

Also, pigs and stray dogs roam in the area, scouting for food wastes. They tend to attack people. The complete plot is covered with garbage including plastic waste and glass bottles.

Shivani R, a resident, said, "My house is adjacent to this open plot. No matter if it is the morning time or evening, there is an unpleasant smell in the area. The garbage is not removed from the plot and sometimes the it is being burnt. The smoke that comes after burning the garbage causes pollution and affects our help too. "
