Hans News Service Hyderabad: The corporators and officials of the Patna Municipal Corporation met Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Commissioner M Dana Kishore at GHMC head office on Friday. The Mayor explained to them about various schemes implemented in Greater Hyderabad, like construction of double-bedroom houses, strategic highway program, volunteer activities and collection of funds for various development projects in bonds format. The GHMC Commissioner said a 30-MW power generation solid waste would be launched shortly in Jawahar Nagar by next month. Though Hyderabad city with more than a crore population is a highly complex city to manage, with the help of technology GHMC has been standing as a role model for other corporations in the country. He also said for the Swachh programmes in the city along with the common public, even NGOs are taking part. “Within next three months, GHMC will be having 20,000 volunteers for Swachh programmes in the city and we are also planning to enrol about one lakh volunteers by the year-end,” he added
