Pending patch work irks Malkajgiri locals

Malkajgiri: The roads in Malkajgiri area colonies leading to marker are the busiest. The patch work left after pipeline replacement has been causing a big trouble to the commuters and the residents alike for over a year.

Numerous minor accidents have occurred on this road due to unfinished roadworks. Two-wheeler riders are the worst affected. Adding to the bad condition of the roads, poor illumination on this stretch at nights is another problem that people need to face, the stretch is nothing but a heap of sand, broken bricks and broken debris.

Motorcyclists can be seen applying brakes suddenly due to potholes on these troublesome roads. "This stretch is completely filled with potholes and water stagnation after a little rain, which truly makes it difficult for pedestrians to walk on it and two-wheeler riders face immense hardships while commuting on this road," said Sanjeev, a resident.

"Due to bad conditions of the road, traffic congestion has also worsened and those commuting from this road are facing a harrowing experience," said Saini, resident of market area, Malkajgiri. Babu rao, Guava vendor said "We had complained about this issue to the officials concerned, but in vain. The locals of this area are facing a lot of problems to travel from this lane for more than a year."
