People urged not to throw garbage in drains

Kapra: Corporator Pavani Reddy inspected drainage issue near Mutyalamma Temple in Jammigadda on Thursday. She visited the place upon the residents bringing the hardships they are facing to her notice.

Learning on the intensity of the problem, the corporator ensured municipal staff reached there and removed silt from drainage. Stunned by huge amount plastic and other objects in the silt she sensitised people on ill effects of throwing garbage in drains.

She also explained the significance of segregating dry and wet wastes. The efforts of municipal officials will remain futile unless people understand the significance of segregating wastes.
