Residents raise a stink over piled up garbage

Ramanthapur: The Ramanthapur Church Colony Road is being reduced into a dump yard. As the area is not densely populated, the local residents and workers of nearby companies have been dumping garbage on the road, causing foul smell.

The GHMC sanitation staff seems to have forgotten their duty of keeping the road clean, the residents said. They alleged that anti-social activities are taking place at nights. "People have been parking their vehicles on the road and consuming alcohol.

This is causing inconvenience to the passers-by," the residents said. They appealed to the municipal officials to ensure that the garbage is cleared. They urged the police to take up patrolling in the area to check anti-social activities.
