Alwal: The Golnaka-Alwal Road has remained unrepaired for past couple of months. Roads are dug up for laying of various utility lines such as water or sewerage pipelines but have not been restored for months after the work was completed.

The work was not completed in the scheduled time worsening the situation by the day. Road were dug up for drainage piping but not been repaired since then. The general public and the residents of Alwal area are fed up despite making repeated complaints to the authorities for the repairing of the road.

The road, for which digging took place about four months ago for laying water pipelines, drain works, is yet to be repaired. We are forced to take a detour, which increases petrol consumption," lamented Murali, a resident of the Anand Rao Nagar Colony, while speaking to The Hans India here on Thursday.

Every resident wants a well-laid road, he added. A common problem that residents here were facing is the uneven precariously dug-up, approach roads.

Traffic snarls are witnessed at peak commuting hours and there have been instances of motorists, especially the two-wheelers falling down and cars getting flat tyres due to the residual soil and stones.

Monsoon is yet to come and still these roads are not even filled with mud at least. This repairing of roads won't be possible during these two months, Murali lamented.
