Rajendranagar: As a routine customary approach every year, a delegation of MIM Leaders from Shastripuram division has called on the Commissioner of Police Cyberabad, VC Sajjanar, and apprised him of the situation arising due to enforcement of late night restrictions for shops during the Ramzan season.

Soon after presenting a written representation, the MIM leaders, including the Corporator for Shastripuram division, Misbahuddin, informed the Commissioner that people mostly in Muslim-dominated areas are busy fasting and conducting prayers in the day time and, hence, they would not be able to buy, sell, shop or purchase anything until the dusk.

They will only be able to do so after Namaz-e-Taraweeh, a special prayer post dusk. The MIM leaders requested the Commissioner to allow the shops to remain open at late hours during the Ramadan season so that it could enable the people to shop after completing their prayers.

The Commissioner listened their plea patiently and assured them that memos would be issued to the police concerned to allow the shops to remain open at late night during the Ramadan season and arrangement would be made accordingly. Party leaders including MIM Incharge, Rajendranagar Constituency Mirza Rahmath Baig, Mohammed Nawazuddin and Shaik Muqtar were present.
